APON PARON

Stephanie Felber APON-PARON

The theater is transformed into a waiting room in which the audience is invited to take a look at their own expectations. What is real? What is projection?

In times of the ubiquitous shift of live events to digital, the team at Stephanie Felber plays with the interaction of the two- and three-dimensional in the performance in "APON PARON". The absent is present in the image, but it is "only" an image, although this is presumably irrelevant for the interconnection of information in our brain.

Holographs or simulations of the performers present deceptively real bodies in motion. Ascending and descending, appearing and disappearing, the movement before and after what is actually expected forms its own choreography. Sensory impressions provide impulses to allow the performers' presence and movement to be experienced.

This experimental arrangement creates an oscillation between too much and too little visibility, authenticity and simulation, between presence and absence.
